Snus Use Related to Increased Risk of Stillbirth

Snus is often regarded as a potentially reduced risk tobacco product. However, a recent large scale study of Swedish women found that women who used snus during pregnancy were at 60% greater risk for suffering a stillbirth than women who did not use tobacco products. These findings are particularly troubling because of growing appeal smokeless tobacco products such as snus have.
